2023 Practice Patient Survey
During the last quarter of 2023, we sent out a small patient survey to some of our patients which were selected at random.
The results of the survey are;
We asked two questions about the last time you saw a member of the clinical team-
How good were they at listening to you?
85% said very good
10% said good
5% said fair
We also asked how good they were at involving you in the decision about your care/ treatment?
83% said very good
14% said good
3% said fair.

We also asked who good were they at explain why you were seeing them for the appointment?
80% said very good

We asked when attending an appointment, do you feel you could ask for a chaperone if you wanted one to attend with you?
93% of you said you would be able to ask for a chaperone.
Within our team we have trained chaperones, so should you wish for one to attend, please inform reception or the clinician you are seeing.
We asked, overall how would you describe your experience of the our GP surgery?
Clean friendly and efficient.
Excellent. Everyone is so welcoming and pleasant. Everyone takes the time to listen and to help. They go above and beyond to accommodate needs and the whole experience is positive and stress free.
Excellent care for adults a children. Drs and staff who genuinely care. Always feel comfortable and safe.
Excellent – every member of the staff team is friendly, understanding, knowledgeable and supportive.
Excellent. Having moved into the area recently I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how well the practice is run and the ease of getting help when I need it.

We asked, can you think of a positive change we can make to improve our GP surgery for all?
You said: The dispensary is wet and cold
The Practice Manager is currently working tirelessly with our landlords, (we are in a rented building) to change the front of our building to help the Dispensary.
We will share more information when the plans have been agreed.
You said: To see a doctor face to face
All of our clinical team are happy to see patients face to face.
For some patients they prefer a remote method of speaking to a clinician such as a phone call or a message. However if you would like a face to face appointment, please make a note of this when submitting your Ask My GP request.
You said: change the4 daily times for Ask My GP
Ask My GP opens at 8am everyday in line with the Practice opening hours, with the aim of closing at midday. However, we have to ensure our clinicians are working at a safe capacity for themselves, but also to give them quality time to help each patient either remotely or face to face. Therefore on some days we do have to close Ask My GP early. We do regularly monitor this.
You said: make more appointments available
During 2023 we offered the most appointments the Practice has ever offered, this is something we are proud of.
We are always looking at appointment availability and adding additional appointments when required.
Finally we asked, how likely are you to recommend our GP surgery to a friend or family member?
90% said very likely
7% said somewhat likely
We are really proud of this statistic as we believe our team try their best for our patients everyday.
