Health Checks (NHS and Over 75s)

Billinghay Medical Practice offers the following Health checks:

• Over 75s – if you have attained the age of 75 years; and have not participated in a consultation within the of twelve month period prior to the date of the request.
• NHS Health Checks – a health check-up for adults in England aged 40 to 74 (Link)

The NHS Health Check is a free check-up of your overall health. It can tell you whether you’re at higher risk of getting certain health problems, such as:

• heart disease
• diabetes
• kidney disease
• stroke

During the check-up you’ll also discuss how to reduce your risk of these conditions and dementia.

If you’re over 65, you will also be told the signs and symptoms of dementia to look out for.
