From September, the NHS is making cervical screening communication quicker and simpler:
InvitationsYou’ll get your invite to book through the NHS App first
If you don’t have the app or don’t open it, a text message or letter will follow
Results– Negative results: sent through the NHS App
– No app? You’ll get a letter instead
– Didn’t read your app message within 72 hours? A letter will be sent as a back-up
– Abnormal results: always sent by letter only
Tip: Download the NHS App and turn on notifications so you don’t miss your invite or result.
