Flu Vaccination – it is not too late

Posted on December 13th, 2020

Thank you once again to all our patients that attended our flu clinic on Saturday and arriving promptly at your appointment time.

This allowed us to make sure you could be vaccinated very quickly, and there were no queues or large gatherings of people.

We are not running any more weekend clinics, so if you are in any of the following cohorts of patients and not been vaccinated lease contact the surgery as soon as you can so we can book you in.

The flu vaccine is given to people who:
• are 50 and over (including those who’ll be 50 by 31 March 2021)
• have certain health conditions (see link below)
• are pregnant
• are in long-stay residential care
• receive a carer’s allowance, or are the main carer for an older or disabled person who may be at risk if you get sick
• live with someone who’s at high risk from coronavirus (on the NHS shielded patient list)
• frontline health or social care workers
