Flu Update and COVID Vaccination Boosters

Flu Vaccine

Thank you all for your patience with the flu campaign this year, here is a brief update for you.

Firstly, please be assured we will have enough vaccines for everyone eligible and you will be fully vaccinated before the normal flu virus starts to circulate.  There is no need for you to travel further afield, we will be able to provide it for you in due course.

We have a clinic FULLY booked for 16th October 2021, further clinics will be added and communicated to you all as soon as we been informed of a DEFINITE date for delivery.

COVID Booster

Those patients in eligible cohorts for the booster (see below) are now being invited to book.

If you receive a text from us, please use the link to self-book at your earliest opportunity (there are no current plans to offer boosters after December 2021).

Cohorts

Available on the NHS for people most at risk from COVID-19 who have had a 2nd dose of a vaccine at least 6 months (182 days) ago.

This includes:

• people aged 50 and over
• people who live and work in care homes
• frontline health and social care workers
• people aged 16 and over with a health condition that puts them at high risk of getting seriously ill from COVID-19
• people aged 16 and over who are a main carer for someone at high risk from COVID-19
• people aged 16 and over who live with someone who is more likely to get infections (such as someone who has HIV, has had a transplant or is having certain treatments for cancer, lupus or rheumatoid arthritis)
• People who are pregnant and in 1 of the eligible groups can also get a booster dose.
