COVID-19 Boosters

The booster programme is available for the following patient cohorts.

• People aged over 50 and people over 16 who are clinically extremely vulnerable or at risk (cohorts 2 – 9, as we will exclude care home residents from receiving invites).
• Minimum of six months post receipt of their 2nd dose (182 days).

There are 2 systems that invite patients.

1. The Practice will invite patients to book an appointment via text / phone call to attend the Meres leisure centre in Grantham. We cannot book at any other location.
2. National Booking Service (NBS) will send letters / texts / emails to book at one of the mass vaccination centres.

Invitations from NBS will be sent once per week to those patients that have been flagged as eligible (i.e. 182 days from second vaccination). This can mean that patients will not be able to book for up to 10 days after they become eligible.
