Practice Accessibility

Building

Here at Billinghay Medical Practice, we aim to make our building accessible for all.

We have one disabled car parking space which is located near the front door.

Our front door is step free with an automated door which opens on arrival, and a push button to press upon leaving.

We have a disabled toilet located in our reception area which patients are welcome to use.

All of the clinical rooms are situated on the ground floor, therefore no lifts or stairs are required to access all of the clinical rooms.

Some of our clinical rooms have hydraulic couches meaning they are adjustable in height to support patients.

Our main reception desk is high and we are aware this can cause some concerns for patients. If you struggle with the high desk, you are welcome to ask the receptionist you are speaking to if you can use the side desk which is lower.

We do have a wheelchair available for patient use, please ask reception or call in advance if you would like to use the wheelchair while visiting the practice.

Guide dogs are welcome in the Practice.

Communication

Here at Billinghay Medical Practice we aim to support everyone with communication that benefits them.

We communicate in many ways, telephone, text, letter, email and face to face, if some of these formats do not work for you, please let us know. We will always try our best to communicate in the best way for you.

Unfortunately, do not have a hearing loop however if you are struggling to hear our receptionists, please let them know and they will find a quiet room where they can help you. All appointments are in separate clinical rooms so we hope this helps with noise levels.

Most of our leaflets are avalible in large print, if you require large print, please ask reception.

If any patient can think of any improvements to ensure it is accessible for all, they are welcome to let us know. All suggestions will be considered.
