2025 Practice Patient Survey
During the first quarter of 2025, we sent out a small patient survey to some of our patients which were selected at random.
The results of the survey are;
We asked two questions about the last time you saw a member of the clinical team-
How good were they at listening to you?
82% said very good
15% said good
3% said fair
We also asked how good they were at involving you in the decision about your care/ treatment?
76% said very good
20% said good
4% said fair.
We asked two questions about the last time you saw a member of our nursing team-
How good were they at listening to you?
77% said very good
19% said good
2% said fair
We also asked who good were they at explain why you were seeing them for the appointment?
72% said very good
25% said good
2% said fair
We asked when attending an appointment, do you feel you could ask for a chaperone if you wanted one to attend with you?
96% of you said you would be able to ask for a chaperone.
Within our team we have trained chaperones, so should you wish for one to attend, please inform reception or the clinician you are seeing.
We asked, overall how would you describe your experience of the our GP surgery?
Very professional and caring
Nothing but praise for an efficient and well run surgery
Very friendly, helpful and professional
I am very happy with my experience with the surgery as a new patient
So far I have been more than satisfied
From entering the surgery, seating, the friendly receptionists always feel nothing is too much for them to help solve a problem. Surgery always clean and tidy
We asked, can you think of a positive change we can make to improve our GP surgery for all?
You said: Not having to stand outside to collect medication
We know this is not ideal and are working hard to change this. Our building is rented and the Practice Manager is currently working with our landlords to ensure we find a solution for this. If you have any questions about this, please speak to our PPG.
You said: The reception desk is high and you struggle to see the receptionist.
If you find this is the case, you are welcome to ask the receptionist if you can talk to them at the side desk which is a lot lower. Our receptionists are happy to support you.
You said: Do something about patients who keep missing appointments.
Here at Billinghay Medical Practice we have a very clear DNA (Did not attend) policy which is followed.
You said: Do not send letters, postage wastes money, use email or text instead.
As a Practice we are aware there can be delays with post arriving therefore, from April 2025 we are aiming to use text as the first point of contact where possible. If we are unable to communicate to a patient via text or email we would still write a letter.
We asked, what is the best thing about our GP surgery?
Not having to wait weeks to be seen or heard like some other practices
Treated like a person, not a number, always listened to.
Everyone is absolutely 1st class
Good at keeping to appointment times, helpful staff, pleasant waiting room
Ability to get an appointment or discussion quickly
Prompt replied to emails and phone calls
Care given by ALL who work there
Just everything and everyone, we are so lucky having you all Thankyou
Finally we asked, how likely are you to recommend our GP surgery to a friend or family member?
88% said very likely
5% said somewhat likely
We are really proud of these results as we believe our team try their best for our patients everyday.
